Brandon was born and raised in Singapore and started playing guitar at the age of 17. His Dad was his first guitar teacher and introduced him to all manners of guitar players and bands with his massive music collection. Any time he felt uninspired, till today. He would go through his Dad's library of music and always found a band, artiste or album that he had never heard or seen. Being pampered with such a luxury gave him a vast range of musical influences that would shape his versatile playing style. His *guitaristic* musical influences range from, Jimi Hendrix, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, Brett Garsed, Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Jeff Kollman and Rafael Moreira.
Later on, Brandon graduated from G.I.T ( Guitar Institute of Technology ) in Los Angeles, Hollywood. He was extremely happy to be there, being surrounded by like minded musicians who were obsessed with practicing and whose musicianship levels far exceeded his own.
In G.I.T, he learned from some of the best players and teachers in world ( Alex Machacek, Daniel Gilbert, Dave Hill, Stig Mathisen, Allen Hinds, Dean Brown and Dale Turner ) and sharpened his playing towards a professional level. He would also take every chance he could to play out during his time in Los Angeles, trying to make a name for himself.
Winning the EverTune Bridge Guitar Competition landed him an endorsement deal with the EverTune bridge company. With his previous work and reputation back home, the Singapore ESP artist rep offered him a chance to come on board with ESP Guitars. That would be his first time working with a major guitar company and he has always been a fan of ESP guitars. Without hesitation, he agreed. At the moment, besides teaching and gigging. Brandon is busy recording original material which features Ric Fierabracci ( Dave Weckl, Chick Corea, Brett Garsed, etc ) on bass and other guest musicians as well. Stay tuned for more exciting material to come!
